  • Gorgeous Screen

Give each piece of art a chance to shine. Up to 3.33m2 of digital canvas that faithfully reproduces even the smallest of details. The art is visually perfect. It comes in three sizes.

    * All ARTHUR Displays are professionally calibrated and can output brilliant natural colors with extremely high resolution.

  • Huge Images in Real Time

ARTHUR has no technical limits when it comes to image size. This flexibility allows you to display entire wall frescos down to their tiniest detail or the finest points of small coins. If it can be scanned, it can be displayed in stunning detail. ARTHUR can even join thousands of images and display them as one.

  • Controller with Retina Display (iPad)

Visitors control and manipulate the images using natural gestures on a capacitive touch controller that allows to zoom to the smallest detail of a brush stroke, or pan to other areas of the image.

  • Smart Stand

The ARTHUR controller is mounted on a highly engineered stand. The system:

    • Detects an approaching visitor and prepares the exhibit if needed.
    • Is easily accessible to children and wheelchair users due to its ergonomic design.
    • Has in-built security features and detects tampering.
    • Includes power-saving features. Turns off/on all components of the system, including the displays, using an easy scheduler.
    • Can be rotated 90° and tilted 40°.
    • Built-in ambient lights can be adjusted to perfectly fit your environment and at the same time serve as status indicators.

The ARTHUR Display can be either wall-mounted or placed on a stand which aestethically matches the controller smart stand. Displays can be rotated 90° to match the displayed object more naturally.

Bring together art from various locations in the world and show it as a single exhibition on one or multiple locations.

  • Annotations and Storyline

If you have art or other exhibits that would benefit from added descriptions, you can not only create single annotations for each item, but also link them in a storyline and make a guided tour, moving between annotations and points of interest in an image.

All this allows you to customize the viewing experience. Your visitors will be truly engaged and see details that may have otherwise been overlooked. The presentation is smooth and slick, with no visually distracting reloads.

  • Lower cost, less stress

Putting on a successful exhibition can be expensive and risky. ARTHUR reduces both cost and risk.

Transport of physical art is no longer necessary, therefore the associated cost of security insurance and storage are reduced.

No more diary conflicts because an exhibit is already on display elsewhere.

Once an exhibition has been created it is stored for future reference and can be repeated on demand.

discover

  • Restorer’s View

Compare the artwork before and after the restoration process. If you want, you can also display the results of individual restoration steps with detailed descriptions. There are endless ways you can use this feature to challenge and inform your audience.

ARTHUR allows you to view two or more images side-by-side for easy comparing.

  • Light Makes all the Difference

Reveal otherwise invisible details by switching between images taken under different lighting conditions. Display realistic shades that feel three-dimensional or their flattened representation, revealing details lost due to the natural wrinkling of canvas or paper.  See the hidden brushstrokes and painting techniques of the artist.

  • Investigate Multispectral Imaging

View and reconstruct the art under many versions of Multispectral scanning by simply transitioning through different wavelengths. In other words, discover the underdrawing in a painting or erased text from a manuscript by using infrared. Ultraviolet versions can be used to identify which parts have been restored. These are greatly valued features for students of art techniques or for appraising the artwork’s authenticity.

  • Educate with Storyline

Curators can use the Storyline feature to create guided tours through displayed art. It highlights important details with optional text, video or audio descriptions.

Each object can have multiple Storylines, such as different languages or explaining different details.

Exhibit Manager can assign Storylines to play automatically after defined inactivity period.

  • It’s All About the Details

As ARTHUR has no limitation in displaying extremely large images, you can display details that are otherwise hidden from the naked eye, and are only visible by researchers using a magnifying glass. Typically, researchers use 3-4 times enlargement loupes, and this is why it is recommend to scan artwork at high resolution of 900 ppi or higher.
